Being passionate about sports and playing basketball for over ten years, even at an early age, he was interested in sports and medicine related fields.

Majoring in physical therapy during high school, he experienced hands-on application of many different kinds of therapies. As an intern inside the Chadron State College Athletic Department, he gained valuable experience working with athletes in all NCAA Division I sports. Working in the athletic training room and athletic weight room, he assisted in procedures collegiate athletes go through from injury to full rehabilitation as well as conditioning athletes.
